Closures and cancellations due to COVID-19http://map.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/board-news/127Closures and cancellations due to COVID-19<div>On March 31, 2020, the Premier’s Office announced an extension to the provincial school closure period in response to COVID-19. As such, Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) schools, child care centres and adult learning centres will not reopen on April 6, 2020, as originally scheduled. Hot Diggity Dog Day Feb 28, 2020 - CANCELLEDhttp://map.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/37Hot Diggity Dog Day Feb 28, 2020 - CANCELLED<p>​Due to bus cancellations today, Hot Diggity Dog day has been cancelled and will be moved to Monday March 2, 2020.  We will have limited quantities to purchase the day of, so students who did not pre-purchase are encouraged to bring in money and are able to purchase hot dogs, cookies or juice boxes while they last.<br></p>
Hot Lunch Orders Updatehttp://map.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/36Hot Lunch Orders Update<p>​Good afternoon Maple Grove Families;</p><p>Due to the ongoing Labour situation, <span style="text-decoration:underline;">all lunch orders</span> starting March 2nd will be put on hold. We will be making up lost inclement weather/job action days in March. Maple Grove Families will receive a schedule of make-up days once arrangements can be made.</p><p>Heading forward, we will accommodate missed milk days by doubling up on a different day.</p><p>Beginning in March, if the labour situation continues, pizza will be sold in the front hall on Wednesdays for $2.00 a slice (cash only) and popcorn will continue to be sold on Friday afternoon during second Nutrition Break for $2.00.<br></p><p><br></p>
Students can put books "on hold" or request new books!http://map.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/school-news/33Students can put books "on hold" or request new books!<p>Just visit the Library page on the Home Page or under Students in the menu.  There, you will be able to access the online library catalogue to search our collection.  Students can sign in, to put a hold on a book that is currently out.  If we don't own a book you're looking for, you can fill out a form to complete a request.<br></p>

‘Bus Tag’ program helps students get to and from school safelyhttp://map.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/board-news/18‘Bus Tag’ program helps students get to and from school safely<p>​</p><p>The Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium (SCSTC) launched the Bus Tag<strong> </strong>program this September.<strong> </strong>The Bus Tag program supports safety for JK/SK and other school-identified students by<strong> </strong>providing a process to match students to their assigned afternoon school bus and to also<strong> </strong>identify they must be met by a parent or guardian at their afternoon bus stop.</p><p>The program provides:</p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li>a colour coded bus tag with the assigned p.m. route number to be attached to the student's backpack</li><li>a colour-coded route card with route number in the windows of the school bus that the Bus Tag is matched to</li></ul><p>The SCSTC and Bus Operators have policies and procedures that are used on all school vehicles to ensure students in JK/SK and other school identified students are met at their afternoon bus stop.  It's the parent/guardian's responsibility to meet Junior Kindergarten, Senior Kindergarten and other identified students at the bus stop .The Bus Tag program has been established to assist both the schools and school bus drivers to load these students on the correct afternoon bus and identify they are to be met at their bus stop by a parent/guardian. Pay for field trips, lunch days, etc. with SchoolCash Onlinehttp://map.scdsb.on.ca/about-us/news/board-news/19Pay for field trips, lunch days, etc. with SchoolCash Online<p>​</p><p>The SchoolCash Online program is now available at all schools, offering parents the option to pay online for field trips, lunch days and other items. The program is intended to reduce paper, eliminate the need for students to travel with money, and for money to be counted and stored at schools.<strong>  </strong>Payment by credit card has now also been added. </p><p>Parents who sign up will receive a notification when a new item becomes available for purchase. Items are personalized to each student.  Parents will use a secure online account to process payments, and can either make a one-time payment for each item as it occurs, or load money to carry a balance in the online account to make payments in the future. </p><p>To create an online account, go to <a href="https://simcoecounty.schoolcashonline.com/" target="_blank"><span lang="EN-CA" style="text-decoration:underline;">https://simcoecounty.schoolcashonline.com</span></a>.
